As a Freight Broker Agent at NexMile Logistics, you'll manage client relationships, secure contracts, and coordinate shipments for perishable goods like produce, seafood, and pharmaceuticals. Requirements:
Proven experience in freight brokerage and logistics.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of perishable goods logistics, including produce, seafood, meat, and pharmaceuticals.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and develop long-term relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
Secure and manage freight contracts with new and existing clients.
Coordinate shipments to ensure on-time, temperature-controlled delivery of perishable goods.
Work closely with the NexMile fleet and third-party carriers to arrange efficient transportation routes.
Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.

Carrier
Join NexMile Logistics as a Carrier and partner with a veteran-owned company specializing in refrigerated freight. Whether you're an owner-operator or manage a fleet, you'll play a key role in delivering temperature-sensitive goods safely and on time across the Midwest, Southeast, and Texas.

Carrier Requirements:
Cargo Insurance: Insurance compliance for cargo coverage.
Valid Authority: Must have valid authority and insurance for fleet owners.
FMCSA Safety Rating: Ensure safety compliance with the FMCSA rating.
Agreement: Complete agreement prior to hauling
Responsibilities:
Safely transport perishable goods using NexMile’s temperature-controlled equipment or your own fleet.
Ensure all deliveries meet regulatory standards and maintain the integrity of perishable shipments.
Collaborate with NexMile dispatchers to plan efficient routes and ensure timely delivery.
Carrier Agreement:
Before starting with NexMile Logistics, carriers must review and complete our Carrier Agreement for compliance and operations.
Logistics Coordinators
As a Logistics Coordinator with NexMile Logistics, you'll use your skills to coordinate efficient delivery routes and ensure timely, compliant shipments of perishable products. Work remotely while supporting the logistics needs of our growing temperature-controlled freight network.

Requirements:
Previous experience in dispatching for trucking companies, preferably with a focus on perishable goods.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple driver schedules.
Knowledge of transportation management software and load boards.
Responsibilities:
Assign and monitor loads for NexMile’s drivers and carriers, ensuring that all shipments are delivered on time and within compliance.
Communicate with drivers, customers, and brokers to ensure smooth operations.
Utilize technology to track shipments and troubleshoot any delays or issues during transit.
Negotiate rates with shippers and brokers to secure the most profitable loads for NexMile’s fleet.
Logistics Coordinator Agreement:
Before starting with NexMile Logistics, all Logistics Coordinators must review and complete our Coordinator Agreement for compliance and operations.
